Pocket CaptionKit

CaptionKit is now available for mobile phone (WAP) devices. Visting Pocket CaptionKit allows your audience to view your message as text-only captions - on the move.

Try out CaptionKit Pocket edition with a WAP emulator

If you want to try it out now, you can click on the 'Pocket CaptionKit' icon on the right.

For our demo, we use the TagTag emulator to view it in your browser.

CaptionKit automatically generates a WAP version of your organisations message when you upload captioned content.

The main page for Pocket CaptionKit is available at http://www.captionkit.com/wap/ - you can enter this into your WAP phone to try it out.

Why would I want to publish captions for a mobile phone ?

Despite advances in mobile phone technology, delivery of video content is still at a very early stage. However, most phones now can access text and websites with few limitations.

The pocket version of CaptionKit is optimised for mobile devices, and offers the same benefits as the main site, with features such as :

  • Google WAP site indexing of your content
  • Timed text (ticker style) delivery of important presentations
  • Minimises button presses required to view your message
  • No specialised skills required - automated WAP publishing
  • Contact information option, allowing the viewer to phone you after viewing your presentation
  • Form to mail available so the viewer can send you an email direct from their phone

Pocket CaptionKit allows people to read important company information before a meeting, or find out about you on the move.

For example, viewers can read a summary of your CEO's address which you have published as a captioned (indexed) video, then dial your nominated contact person to find out more.
