About CaptionKit

CaptionKit is a solution to provide creation, storage and editing of text captions (subtitles) for Internet Video.

It produces subtitles for most types of streaming media, including Quicktime, Windows Media Player and Real player, all of which support post-production subtitling of video content. Viewers do not need the Captionkit software.

The software download size is less than 100k, and it will run on IE5 or above. View the system requirements for producing captioned media.

With the increasing uptake of broadband services on the internet, it is possible to deliver realtime video and audio content. The problem with this for a significant number of internet users, is the lack of any subtitling facility which can be used by non-specialists and content providers alike.
